Arne Slot believes Arsenal will capitalise on their set-piece strength of their Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday.
Liverpool have registered their third straight win within the Premier League for the primary time since December with a 5-2 victory at home to West Ham on Saturday.
Slot’s side scored their first three goals against West Ham from corner-kick situations with Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk and Alexis Mac Allister all finding the web.
After his side’s win, Slot identified that Liverpool were clearly trailing Arsenal’s superiority in scoring from set-pieces and feels Mikel Arteta’s men will show their dominance against Chelsea on the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
‘We created quite a whole lot of possibilities from set-pieces in the primary a part of the season and almost every set-piece we conceded went in, and today you may see exactly the alternative happening,’ Slot said.

‘I feel one among their first big possibilities was a set-piece that might have gone in in the primary six or seven months [of the season], 100 per cent sure. But now we did it and we start scoring from set-pieces after which things look much brighter and higher than once you don’t, and that’s really pleasing for us, for the team and for our fans as well.

‘Things went back to normal, mainly, because I just said that we’ve created quite a whole lot of possibilities in the primary half of the season that continually didn’t go in, or too persistently didn’t go in with being unlucky. We were a whole lot of times very close. And even today we conceded the set-piece, they scored one and so they could have scored a second one in the primary half – that might have been the primary one, but you already know what I mean.
Premier League set-piece goals this season
Arsenal: 17
Newcastle: 14
Leeds United, Tottenham, Manchester United, Bournemouth: 13
Chelsea and Liverpool: 12
Aston Villa: 11
Crystal Palace and Fulham: 9
West Ham, Everton, Brentford: 8
Sunderland, Burnley, Brighton: 7
Man City and Nottingham Forest: 6
Wolves: 5
‘Possibly one or two small details have modified defensively and offensively, I feel we’re arrange barely, barely different. But the most important reason is that things return to normal.
‘There was a time period that we were 23 goals behind Arsenal in set-pieces, including penalties, by the way in which. And we’re still not only three goals away from them but we’ve closed the gap just a little bit.
‘Although you never know what can occur this weekend with Arsenal because I wouldn’t be surprised in the event that they scored three from set-pieces this weekend as well.’
