Ellen argued that her sons and their teammates’ decision to go to the White House and attend the State of the Union speech was not inherently political.
“For those who could see what we see from the within and the boys and ladies sharing, you already know, dorm rooms and halls and flex floors and the camaraderie and the synergy, and the way in which the ladies cheered on the boys and the way in which the boys cheered on the ladies,” she insisted. “That’s what it’s all about.”
Ellen went on, “The opposite things, they can not control. They care about humanity. They care about unity and so they care concerning the country. I hope everybody just understands what we did within the moment, each the boys and ladies to bring this country together and let everybody cheer in the identical direction.”
