Jim Carrey Likely Had A ‘Major Surgical Transformation,’ Plastic Surgeon Insists

Jim Carrey made a rare appearance on the 51st César Awards, looking noticeably different, leading many netizens to assert he had either undergone surgery or had been replaced by a “clone.”

A plastic surgeon has now weighed in on the controversy, noting the funnyman definitely had some procedures done.

Jim Carrey’s rep has since spoken out concerning the wild claims surrounding his recent outing, noting that it was indeed the actor on the award ceremony.

As chatter surrounding Carrey’s latest appearance continues, several experts have weighed in, addressing what can have happened to the actor’s face.

In a chat with Page Six, top plastic surgeon Dr. Rachel Mason of La Femme Plastic Surgery insisted that Carey has gone under the knife.

She said, “This appears to be a serious surgical transformation. Essentially the most obvious indicator is the numerous elevation of the brows, which points to a brow lift.”

The Las Vegas-based surgeon noted that the procedure Carey can have undergone raises the position of the brow permanently and likewise helps smooth the brow, while altering one’s facial features to “create a calmer, more open look.”

In accordance with the news outlet, Dr. Mason believes Carrey can have also had upper blepharoplasty performed on him.

She said, “The upper eyelids aren’t any longer hooded, excess skin has been removed, and the eyes appear structurally different quite than simply refreshed.”

Speaking more on the matter, Dr. Rachel Mason shared that Carrey can have also had a fat transfer and facelift to realize smoother facial expression.

Dr. Mason continued, “The tightened jawline and lifted lower face strongly suggest a facelift, possibly a deep plane facelift, which repositions deeper facial structures for a more comprehensive result.”

She also shared that the actor’s smooth skin texture could also be a results of laser resurfacing, noting that the procedure is “commonly used to refine the skin after surgical lifting.”

In accordance with the doctor, Carrey’s potential cosmetic makeover likely cost him $30,000 to $60,000, depending on the route he took.

She said, “Taken together, these procedures would typically total roughly $50,000 to $60,000 if a deep plane facelift was performed, while a conventional facelift approach would place the general cost closer to $30,000 to $40,000.”

Dr. Mason further stated that Carrey’s “appearance should soften and turn into more natural over time” because it’s likely still in an “early post-operative swelling” state.

She believes the actor had no intention of creating a “subtle change” to his facial appearance and that he was as a substitute going for a “noticeable refresh.”

The controversy surrounding Carrey’s look got more complicated after drag queen Alexis Stone took to Instagram to share photos of prosthetics and a wig that looked just like the “Dumb and Dumber” actor, captioning it, “Alexis Stone as Jim Carrey in Paris.”

Stone, who’s famous for impersonating Hollywood’s favorite celebrities, managed to idiot many online, including famous names like Megan Fox, Lisa Rinna, and “Love Island” alum Malin Andersson.

The skepticism was much the identical on social media, as many raised eyebrows over his lighter eye shade and the indisputable fact that he was using his right hand to sign an autograph despite reports claiming he’s left-handed.

Carrey took home an honorary César that evening and took to the stage to offer a robust speech as he dedicated it to his dad.

“I wanted to acknowledge my dad. I mean, my dad was the sort of individual that should you met him for five minutes, you felt such as you knew him for 50 years,” he said in a viral clip captured after the event, per the Every day Mail.

During his speech on stage,  he referenced his heritage to France and the way winning the César, famously dubbed the French Oscars, has “come full circle” for him.

“About 300 years ago, my great-great-great-great-grandfather, Marc François Carrey, left Saint-Malo in France for Canada,” he said. “Tonight, with this magnificent honour, this “square” has come full circle. Perhaps that is what my family was searching for.”

Not much is understood about what the “Bruce Almighty” actor has been as much as in recent times, as reports suggest he moved to Maui, Hawaii, in a bid to live a quieter life. Nonetheless, it appears he hasn’t been doing badly in his love life, as he confirmed his relationship along with his “sublime companion” Min Ah on the event.

Carrey was joined by Min Ah, in addition to his daughter Jane Erin Carrey and her teenage son Jackson, on stage, and he made sure to pay tribute to them as he accepted the award.

“Thanks to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson,” the actor said in French, “as I like you now and eternally,” per E! News.

He continued, “Thanks to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I like you, Min Ah. And at last, thanks to the funniest man I actually have ever known: my father Percy Joseph Carrey, who taught me the worth of affection, generosity, and laughter.”

Carrey was previously married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, during which they welcomed Jane, and was briefly wed to his “Dumb and Dumber” costar Lauren Holly. He also dated Renée Zellweger and Jenny McCarthy within the 2000s.
