KSI has announced that he has purchased an element of non-league football club Dagenham and Redbridge.

The 32-year-old YouTube streamer-turned boxer, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, has bought a 20 per cent stake within the Essex-based side.

Dagenham and Redbridge currently play within the National League South, which is the sixth tier of the English football league system and two promotions away from the Football League.

In a video announcing his latest purchase, the Britain’s Got Talent judge says his aim is to guide Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League.

‘I’ve done boxing, music, YouTube content, I’ve been around the globe, I’m a person that does whatever he wants, you may never stop doing what you wish. I’m going to purchase Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club,’ KSI said.

I’m so excited to begin this journey. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster obviously but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge back to the glory days. For those of you which are OG fans (Race to Division One), you’ll know that it is a full circle moment for me. So join me on this exhilarating adventure and I’ll see you all at Victoria road this Saturday! I’ll be streaming too haha @The Daggers

‘Playing a video game and owning a football club could be very different but with Race to Division One it was a journey but ultimately I did it. With this club I would like to do the unthinkable, I would like to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League.’
