The IInspiration Squashed In AEW Television Debut, MJF Retains

The IInspiration have officially arrived on AEW television.

After making their initial appearance for the corporate at a live event in Australia, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay stepped onto the national stage during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The duo squared off against the newly formed team of Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter, known collectively as The Brawling Birds.

Windsor and Hayter controlled the bout from the outset and secured the victory in what principally a squash, ending off Jessie McKay with their “Two Birds One Stone” finisher.

With the win, The Brawling Birds improve to 4-0 since forming their partnership in February, continuing their strong start as a team.

MJF successfully retained the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight to kick off this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

The title bout was made after “The Jet” issued a challenge on the February 28 edition of Collision, seeking to capitalize on his momentum with the largest opportunity of his profession. Knight brought the fight early, showcasing his explosive athleticism and pushing the champion to his limits.

Despite the challenger’s impressive showing, the night ultimately belonged to MJF. Within the closing moments, Knight went for his signature UFO Splash, however the champion countered by getting his knees up. Sensing the opening, MJF quickly transitioned into the Heat Seeker piledriver, planting Knight face-first to secure the decisive three-count.

With the victory, MJF’s reign as AEW World Champion continues to grow stronger. On the time of publication, he has already turned back challenges from Zilla Fatu, Bandido, Brody King, and Alec Price, further cementing his dominance at the highest of the corporate.
