Mohammed Kaif responded to Mohammad Amir’s comments on India’s World Cup possibilities, accusing him of searching for attention.

Former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif has said that Mohammad Amir thoroughly knew that India would qualify for the semifinals, and he went about saying they wouldn’t just so it might turn into news, adding that Indians don’t have to ‘go all the way down to their level’ to answer.
Amir had predicted that India would falter against the West Indies and crash out before the semi-finals. When that forecast couldn’t come true, he modified tack, this time backing England to stop India’s momentum and insisting that Suryakumar Yadav’s team wouldn’t make the ultimate.
Amir labelled struggling opener Abhishek Sharma a ‘slogger’ as well, a comment that didn’t go down well with Indian fans. Responding on his YouTube channel, Kaif accused Amir of creating provocative statements for attention, adding that India don’t have to lower themselves by reacting to such remarks.
“Did Amir really not know that India would reach the semifinals? He also knew it, that the defending champions would make it. But because it’ll turn into news, they do all these items,” Amir said.
Kaif fired back at Amir by recalling Pakistan’s shock loss to the USA on the 2024 T20 World Cup. The previous aimed toward Amir’s own Super Over showing, implying that the pacer was not ready to pass judgment on others.
“The loss that they faced against the USA in 2024, it was the identical bowler who was the explanation. In that over, there was just one boundary, but too many wides. His ball didn’t even land on the stumps,” Kaif said.
“Who got scared against that USA team and made his team lose the sport, then I don’t must say more. Why are we specializing in him? The country that’s so behind in the game, they don’t have any players, no solid captain, or a solid bowler, nothing,” Kaif added.
