During a recent appearance on the “My Mom’s Basement” podcast, Trick Williams stated it feels strange to go from being on top of NXT to starting over as a rookie on the WWE primary roster.
Williams praised Shawn Michaels for being very hands-on with younger NXT talent and said Triple H lets NXT call-ups show who they’re before pushing them into the following level.

On increasing his size: “I done placed on about 10, 15 more kilos. I’m throwing my weight around a bit bit more now. I’m feeling myself. You realize what I mean? So he needs to be hands-on and possibly, like I said, babysit far more.
“Where Triple H is awesome, he’s just type of — he sits back and sees who you’re. He decides how he desires to present you. So he’s more doing the polishing and the brushing up on — like at this point, Smackdown [and] Raw, you’re purported to be a professional. That is the large leagues, so he’s not babysitting. He’s making you a star to the following level.”
On making the move to the primary roster: “It was pretty strange, . Being called a rookie all once again. Like, ‘Oh shoot, no person cares about my two NXT Championships, the TrickNA, TNA World Champion. Let’s discuss it? All of that was type of erased. But , I’m okay with that because that’s what keeps you hungry. That’s what keeps you grinding, and it gives you a hill to climb to get back to the highest. Which I feel is the very best part concerning the whole game in the primary place. So yeah, it was humbling.”
