Samoa Joe has given a positive update on his AEW status.
While appearing at a Monopoly Events convention, Joe declared that he expects to be back in AEW “prior to later.”
The previous AEW World Champion has been out of motion since January 21, when he wrestled Mike Bailey. He was later pulled from AEW TV after an injury announcement on the January twenty eighth episode of Dynamite.
Joe was reportedly placed in concussion protocol and required medical clearance before returning. During his absence, The Opps have remained energetic on TV with HOOK taking up an even bigger role within the group. When Joe returns, he is anticipated to rejoin major storylines near the highest of the AEW roster.
