Jon Jones doesn’t get sympathy from fans as he mourns ‘painful’ UFC end: ‘You played with everyone’

Jon Jones will not be blissful with Dana White and the UFC, but many think he’s reaping what he sowed.

Despite his quite a few pleas to be given one final fight on the high-profile card this June, Jones won’t be fighting on the White House.

The total lineup reveal got here during Saturday’s UFC 326 broadcast. Two of the most-discussed names rumored to be in the combination were snubbed, with each ‘Bones’ and Conor McGregor not getting a fight.

Dana White rejected talk of negotiations with Jones over a bout in Washington D.C. ever happening, despite the previous champion’s claim. And that press conference remark has left the GOAT contender lower than pleased.

Fans react to Jon Jones’ offended rant at Dana White and the UFC

Jones went on a social media rant after confirmation of his UFC White House snub, which got here together with White suggesting that his UFC profession is over.

Amongst a string of quickly deleted posts on X, the previous heavyweight and light-weight heavyweight champion first said, “I’m released from the UFC?!” He later berated White’s comments, describing the situation as incredibly “painful.”

But Jones won’t be getting sympathy from many fans.

Within the comments section of a Bloody Elbow Facebook post, quite a few fans dismissed the legend’s complaints and said White’s stance is karmic justice for Jones’ avoidance of Tom Aspinall.

“Appears like he got you back for the Tom s—.”

“You played with everyone the last 2 years. Burned loads of bridges. These are the results.”

“Jon has never had a conversation from an honest perspective.”

“Jon Jones was given way too many breaks within the UFC. He must have been cut LONG ago.”

“You shouldn’t have left him feeling let down when we would have liked you essentially the most within the fight against Tom.”

“That’s what happens while you’re a messer.”

“He can’t be on the cardboard. Too big of a liability.”

“Who cares…he’s unreliable and ducked Aspinall.”

Whether fans are pro-Jones or pro-White on this debate, all will likely agree that the present situation looks set to mark a lower than ideal end to the GOAT contender’s profession contained in the Octagon.

That already gave the impression to be the case when he briefly retired last summer after vacating the heavyweight throne, but the potential of a super-fight between Jones and Alex Pereira in 2026 seemingly presented the prospect of a blockbuster farewell.

Alas, that was to not be.
