On the last episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes beat Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed title. While Rhodes lost on the WWE Elimination Chamber, he will likely be walking into WrestleMania 42 because the champion. His opponent for Mania will likely be The Viper, Randy Orton.
Nevertheless, as usual, this was not the unique plan. In line with Mike Johnson from PWInsider Elite,
“In asking around, it was learned that the unique WrestleMania pitch making the rounds was for Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell. As a substitute, Cody will face Orton while McIntyre appears to be set for a bout against Jacob Fatu.”
