Out-of-favour Pakistani batter Ahmed Shehzad has made a daring claim about young Pakistani top-order batter Saim Ayub. In line with Shehzad, Saim, who played five matches for the Men in Green within the T20 World Cup 2026, is a component of Pakistan’s men’s cricket team because many high-profile people within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) like him rather a lot.
While speaking on Pakistan’s Haarna Mana Hai show, when asked if it is feasible to play for Pakistan with none advice, Shehzad said, “In fact, there are not any two opinions on this you could come with none advice or bribe. But there may be a saying ki aap aa toh jaate ho par waha rehna mushkil ho jaata hai (that for those who come, it becomes difficult to remain there).”
In line with Shehzad, if a player doesn’t have a backing, then it becomes difficult for him to get many probabilities. He explained his point by giving the instance of Ayub, who, as per him, is playing due to the Karachi factor.
“Jinki koi keh kawal wale hai, unko bahut probabilities hai (Individuals who have the backing get many probabilities). Do you see what number of probabilities Saim Ayub got? These weren’t so many probabilities for Hassan Nawaz.”
🚨 SAIM AYUB & HIS BIG BROTHER IN PCB 🚨Ahmed Shehzad: Saim Ayub played plenty of matches for PCB due to the Karachi factor and has big brother in PCB. He’s everyone’s laadla, he was told that whether he scores 0, 80, or 100, he won’t be dropped.

“The difference is koi ek ka laadla bann gaya (one became the favourite of the opposite). Saim Ayub also has plenty of Karachi factor. He has plenty of Karachi factor. Then, some high-profile people within the Pakistan Cricket Board like him rather a lot. He has even been told that you simply do 0, you do 100, you do 80, and also you won’t exit. So, while you start saying such things to a child, then that’s what happens.”
