Paddy Pimblett predicts UFC White House headliner between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje

Paddy Pimblett is picking a serious upset when the lightweight division is finally unified on the White House in June.

The fan favorite Scouser is well-known to each of the UFC White House headliners, having fought Justin Gaethje for the interim belt after years of feuding with Ilia Topuria. And he’s one among the one people backing the American to attain a shock win and at last claim undisputed gold.

Gaethje has twice held the interim title and can be a former BMF champion. But his two previous efforts at a unification saw him thwarted by Charles Oliveira and Khabib Nurmagomedov and he has noted that that is his final push for the massive one.

Paddy Pimblett backs Justin Gaethje to upset Ilia Topuria at UFC White House

In a brand new YouTube video released today, Paddy Pimblett gave his reactions to Dana White’s announcement of the UFC Freedom 250 card from Saturday night. After all, the fight most fans desired to know his opinion on was the important event between two of his great rivals for the title in his division.

Pimblett just went five rounds with Gaethje in a fight that many imagine was originally pencilled in to be against Topuria. And he feels the American can proceed his winning run in what could be an amazing moment on the White House lawn.

“My two mates within the important event,” Pimblett declared. “Ilia did say he was going to come back back around this time, so June is ideal for him and clearly Justin said when he was fighting me he desired to beat me after which go on to fight on the White House and he’s done it.

“So hats off to him he’s done it. That’s a scrap, they’re going to come back out and take a look at to take one another’s heads off. Everybody’s already counting Gaethje out and we’ve already learned which you can’t try this.

“I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that Gaethje might pull off an upset here and surprise everyone but as you realize, it’s a fist fight. It could go either way, anyone can beat anyone and within the White House he’s probably going to have a bit more motivation to go on the market and win.

“It’s in front of his president and his home country so we’ll must see how that one plays out since it’s big implications for the entire division. I’m obviously going to have my eye on that but I’m going to be focused on whoever I’m going to fight next.

“Hopefully I’m going to search out out the following few weeks when my next fight will likely be and hopefully it’s around that point, around June or July.”
