Britney Spears Reportedly ‘Antagonized’ By Family To Reunite With Her Father

Pop star Britney Spears doesn’t appear to need to reunite together with her father, Jamie Spears, who ran her conservatorship for 12 years. In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” the “Toxic” singer shared an exhaustive list of reasons as to why she never got along together with her father. Nevertheless, following her DUI arrest, evidently her relations are encouraging her to make amends.

On March 9, roughly every week after her DUI arrest, a Los Angeles associate who has regular contact together with her friend group and her family, exclusively told Page Six that she is “antagonized” and “on edge” over the considered inviting her father back into her life.

The insider revealed that Jamie “doesn’t need to remain disconnected from his daughter” any longer and needs “the possibility to have the opportunity to speak together with her and find some middle ground.” Nevertheless, the Princess of Pop is seemingly not able to accomplish that, though her sons have had regular contact with their grandfather.

Britney shared two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, together with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. The source said that her two boys are optimistic that Britney and her father will have the opportunity to make amends in order that they could be a “united family.”

“Even the boys have gotten back into their grandad’s life after some tough times,” the insider revealed. “They’d welcome a united family despite all of the years of drama.”

Nevertheless, the insider went on to say that Britney “is antagonized by the topic” of her father and would like not to debate him in any respect.

“She hated having to stick to regular doctor visits, therapy sessions, and medicine plans. That’s comprehensible for somebody who’s coping with a bipolar condition,” the source added. “Obviously, a father overseeing the principle of that process is a tough situation — not least emotionally — but her condition needed some medical supervision.”

One other source connected to the family told the publication that Jamie is “deeply hurt at how his daughter refuses to think about ever talking to him again,” especially considering that he has “suffered with health severely in recent times.”

“He held out hope when his life seemed in a deadly state that his daughter would visit him,” the source said, acknowledging, “but that never happened.”

Although Jamie has often been villainized by the media, a family friend told the publication that “Jamie only ever desired to keep his daughter alive, and likewise financially solvent, in that order.”

“Jamie has consistently told those around him that he stays proud that he did ’save Britney’s life,’ regardless of how the general public may feel,” the family friend added.

Despite the fact that she was free of her court-ordered conservatorship in November 2021, the source said that Britney “seems terrified” that Jamie will “by some means regain the conservatorship, which obviously is a really difficult legal task and something Jamie doesn’t have the energy to think about.”

As The Blast previously reported, Britney compared her father to a “cult leader” in her memoir, “The Woman In Me.” Along with the “exhausting run” of shows during her Las Vegas Residency, Britney alleged that her father failed to offer her ample time to rest and strictly controlled her food regimen. She claimed that he only allowed her to eat chicken and vegetables, and even called her “fat” on multiple occasions.

“Two years is a protracted time to not have the opportunity to eat what you would like, especially when it’s your body and your work and your soul making the cash that everybody’s living off of,” she wrote.  “Two years of asking for French fries and being told no. I discovered it so degrading.”
