Alexander Volkanovski admitted that he was flawed about two things when reacting to UFC 326.
Max Holloway apologized to the people he let down when sharing his thoughts on one of the vital one-sided losses of his profession.
The BMF title modified hands on Saturday night as a consequence of a dominant grappling-heavy performance from the challenger, Charles Oliveira.
Being the one other fighter to beat ‘Blessed’ convincingly over five rounds, Alexander Volkanovski was just as surprised as many others when watching this past weekend’s important event.

Alexander Volkanovski admits he was flawed about Max Holloway being Arman Tsarukyan’s hardest test
During his video response to UFC 326, Alexander Volkanovski admitted that he was flawed about two predictions he’d made ahead of the event.
The featherweight champion believed that Max Holloway was going to stop Charles Oliveira to successfully defend the BMF belt for the second time.
Volkanovski added that he sees Holloway as Arman Tsarukyan’s hardest test at lightweight, but took that back after seeing ‘Do Bronx’ dominate ‘Blessed’ from start to complete.
“That was flawed. That will be flawed. Arman’s going to have good takedowns. Is his control nearly as good as Charles’, no, but will he get Max to the bottom? Yeah, I feel so,” he said in a video on his YouTube channel. “We’ve seen how good Arman’s wrestling is. He’s taking over actual wrestlers in RAF and have a look at the work he’s doing… After that, I’m taking that back and I used to be completely flawed.”
Volkanovski had said that he thought Holloway’s ability to get back to his feet and put the pressure on his opponents could be a giant obstacle for Tsarukyan.
While we have now seen the Hawaiian fan favorite do that up to now, he was controlled on the bottom by Oliveira for a complete of 20 minutes and 49 seconds on March 7.

Alexander Volkanovski praised Charles Oliveira’s persistence in Max Holloway win
Alexander Volkanovski knows how difficult it’s to get Max Holloway to the bottom and keep him there, because the stats from his three fights with the previous BMF champion show.
| Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway trilogy | Alexander Volkanovski’s takedown attempts | Alexander Volkanovski’s control time |
| First fight – UFC 245 | 0 of 4 (0%) | 0:44 |
| Second fight – UFC 251 | 3 of 9 (33%) | 1:26 |
| Third fight – UFC 276 | 0 of 0 (0%) | 1:57 |
When reflecting on UFC 326 via his YouTube channel, ‘The Great’ highlighted one thing that separates him from Oliveira in terms of their approaches against Holloway.
“I do know Max’s takedown defense is unreal,” he said. “We’ve seen that quite a bit. I’ve felt it as well so I do know he’s got a solid defense. I assume I’m not as persistent as Charles was. Charles was very persistent, which I believed would probably tire him but his cardio held up. He looked great.”
