Hardik Pandya’s public display of affection for girlfriend Mahieka Sharma left the fans overwhelmed. Shortly after India clinched the title, Mahieka joined Hardik on the sphere, they usually celebrated India’s historic 96-run win over Latest Zealand on the Narendra Modi Stadium together. There was hardly a camera that wasn’t focused on them.
Their videos have already set the web ablaze. The same frenzy unfolded in Mumbai on Tuesday, when Pandya and Sharma walked out of the airport, while cameras kept flashing from all sides. Holding one another’s hands, they made their approach to their automotive while the people around kept on calling the Indian all-rounder’s name.
Speaking on the post-match presentation on Sunday, Pandya credited her girlfriend for bringing positivity to his life.
“That is the victory I actually have at all times lived for. This is the reason I actually have played cricket. I need to win trophies. I need to win as many trophies as I can. In 2024, I had said that whatever trophies I play for, I’ll win. And I consider that. This trophy is a validation of that,” said Hardik.
“There’s a variety of labor. There is just not only talk, but there may be a variety of labor. Work hard, stay silent, be an excellent person. Since Maheika has come into my life, I actually have only been winning,” he added.
Hardik Pandya played a big role in India’s victorious campaign on the T20 World Cup 2026. He ended the tournament with 217 runs, including two half-centuries, at a 160.74 strike rate. He picked up 9 wickets in as many games, earning a spot within the ICC Team of the Tournament.
He’ll soon turn up for his franchise, the Mumbai Indians, within the upcoming IPL 2026, scheduled to start from March 28.
