Team India scripted history by becoming the primary team to successfully defend the ICC T20 World Cup title on home soil with their decimation job of Latest Zealand in the ultimate on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday in an emphatic display as skipper Suryakumar Yadav led the Men in Blue to their third T20 WC crown, essentially the most by any team.
India posted a mammoth total of 255 runs before bundlig the Kiwis out for 159 runs to finish a dominant campaign that also witnessed India change into essentially the most successful side within the history of the tournament and the primary to clinch the title at home.

“Such players change games once they bat. I knew a day would come where he would finish it off.”
“In the ultimate, Axar sat next to me and said: we have now two world No. 1 players on this team and they’re going to fire today.”
Abhishek got India off to a flier of a start along with his fifty off only a dozen and a half deliveries to tilt the balance of the sport in favour of the hosts early on within the fixture.
“Abhishek was working so hard, and in the ultimate he scored 50 off 18 balls. Six overs, 90 runs. From there the sport was completely different. It’s very essential to stick with such players,” he explained.
