Just last 12 months, Cruz showed that his feelings on Peterson hadn’t modified when he called him a “weak human” and a “complete failure” over that one stoppage.
The previous UFC bantamweight champion famously accused the ref known as “no nonsense” of smelling like alcohol and cigarettes contained in the Octagon.
While Cruz’s post questioning whether Peterson will come on his podcast looks to be a turning point of their relationship, it was also accompanied by several photos of them facing off.
After this loss, the UFC Hall of Famer formally requested to have a distinct referee for his three final Octagon appearances before he retired last 12 months.
