Just just a few days after her divorce from Sohael Khaturiya, whom she married in 2022, actress Hansika Motwanni travelled to Amritsar. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, she shared a series of photos and a heartfelt note from her visit to the Golden Temple.

In the photographs, Hansika is seen sitting on the bottom along with her hands folded and eyes closed in a moment of prayer. She was accompanied by her mother, with each of them holding hands as they posed for the camera. She wore a pink suit for the visit.

About Hansika-Sohael’s Divorce
Hansika Motwanni and Sohael Khaturiya were granted a divorce on March 11, after three years of marriage. Rumours of trouble of their relationship surfaced last 12 months when Hansika quietly removed several wedding photos and pictures featuring Sohael from her social media profiles. Reports later suggested that the couple had been living individually since July 2024.
Hansika’s lawyer, Adnan Shaikh, clarified to NDTV that the divorce was filed by mutual consent. He added that Hansika selected not to hunt any alimony or maintenance, searching for only a dignified and peaceful closure to their marriage. “Our client has made no claims for alimony or maintenance. She simply wishes to maneuver forward along with her life and skilled commitments,” he explained.

Hansika and Sohael tied the knot on December 4, 2022, in a grand ceremony at Mundota Fort in Jaipur. Their wedding garnered widespread attention on social media, with fans sharing photos and videos from the lavish celebrations. The marriage was featured in the fact TV show Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama.
Before their wedding, Sohael proposed to Hansika on the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2022. She shared pictures from the proposal on Instagram with the caption, “Now and endlessly,” marking the official starting of their relationship.
Sohael was previously married to Rinky Bajaj, as per reports. Interestingly, rumours suggested that Rinky and Hansika were close friends. Nevertheless, Hansika and Sohael clarified that they’d known one another for a very long time, as Sohael was a friend of her brother.

Hansika was last seen within the 2024 film Guardian, directed by Sabari and Guru Saravanan. The film also featured Suresh Chandra Menon and Sriman in significant roles.
