Ronda Rousey has been targeting her former employer since confirming an MMA comeback.
This May, Rousey will headline Netflix’s first MMA card against fellow veteran Gina Carano.
Each women might be getting back from lengthy layoffs, with ‘Rowdy’ having not fought since 2016 and the ex-Disney star since 2009.
Talks for Rousey to return within the UFC fell through, and the previous bantamweight queen has not shied away from firing shots at the game’s leading promotion ever since.

Matt Brown thinks Ronda Rousey’s ‘victim mentality’ is her biggest character flaw
Rousey approached Dana White about her comeback but was turned away due to the Paramount broadcast deal, which has eliminated pay-per-view from the UFC.
In consequence, ‘Rowdy’ believes the promotion is now focused on cost-effective matchups somewhat than booking the most important fights possible, hence the choice to not entertain her clash with Carano.
The 39-year-old made those comments soon after her Netflix fight was announced, and her negative remarks in regards to the UFC have only grown louder as her return date approaches.
Rousey has joined the fighter pay debate, blasting the UFC model and calling for change. But while the message is correct, not everyone thinks ‘Rowdy’ is delivering it for the proper reasons.
“I feel her real intentions are a pity party thing and he or she does that lots,” ex-fighter Matt Brown said on MMA Fighting’s The Fighter vs. The Author.
“She plays that victim mentality lots. I feel that’s a personality flaw, so to talk, of hers. I feel she has a variety of internal issues that type of come out in the general public lots. I feel that’s really what’s occurring.
“She’s not necessarily saying all this to attempt to change the game or attempt to help the longer term of MMA or anything. But she wants the eye, and he or she desires to say something that gets people’s emotions going about her,” she added.
“She desires to feel valid and recognized and things like that. But she’s not flawed either.”

Along with fighter pay, Rousey also took aim at UFC White House, joining the backlash to the cardboard reveal for the celebratory event in Washington D.C. on June 14.
She has branded the UFC “unrecognizable” since White gave up control of quite a few areas behind the scenes, specifically suggesting that Hunter Campbell has had a negative effect on the organization.
