Ex-WWE Women’s Champion Hints At Return

The newest episode of Chris Van Vliet’s “Insight” podcast featured former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle. For those unaware, she is currently signed with TNA Wrestling.

Michelle wrestled last in WWE in 2009, on an episode of RAW, against Beth Phoenix, in a losing effort. Her last in-ring encounter occurred in 2017 on the HOG 36 – Blizzard Brawl event, where she beat Lisa Marie Varon.

Talking to CVV, Michelle revealed that her return to the ring is imminent. The previous WWE Women’s Champion said,

“I used to be at WrestleCon, and I used to be doing an appearance, my promoter had Dustin on, and any individual said, ‘Go as much as him and tell him how you wish to wrestle again.’ I’m just listening to this voice, like, really? Perhaps it’s because I’m at WrestleCon, you already know, you see all of the wrestlers, you type of get the itch, you’re type of in it somewhat bit. I used to be going to the Hall of Fame that yr to look at Michelle be inducted. I am going over to him, I used to be like, ‘Hey, I do know you will have a faculty in Texas, and I feel I actually have the itch.’ He’s like, what? Oh no, she really does. Then to return to December and get this call from Tommy Dreamer, I used to be like, I just feel it coming. I don’t know when it’s coming, however it’s coming.”

When Did Michelle Get To Know She Was Winning The WWE Women’s Title?

In the course of the same podcast, Michelle opened up about when she discovered she was winning the WWE Women’s Championship. She shared,

“I do. It was like hours before the match. We were literally like, down within the ring, I feel it was Fit Finlay, and he’s like, ‘You’re going over tonight.’ So casual. I’m like, What do you mean? He’s like, ‘You’re taking the title tonight.’ Okay? That match got cut, I feel it was like three minutes.”

“I mean, it got cut so short. And essentially the most powerful a part of that match was actually a match before that. It was the match leading as much as that where I got the title shot. It was a match against me and Melina, it was about three minutes long, and like I said, to get the story in that point. It’s hard, but we did. I am going to the locker room afterwards, it was three minutes, and there’s a knock on the locker room door, and I feel it was Victoria, ‘Candice, Vince is here.’ I’m pondering, I did something mistaken.”

“I mean, Vince doesn’t leave Gorilla for much of anything at in those days, right? I come to the door and he’s like, ‘Good job kid, you probably did well.’ And I used to be like, whoa! That was the moment I became a wrestler after. For that to occur is big! Then the subsequent match was once I got to take the title.”
