Elvish Yadav Celebrates ‘Independence Day’ As Supreme Court Quashes Snake Venom Case
Influencer and actor Elvish Yadav has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to quash the criminal proceedings against him within the snake venom case. The actor took to Instagram today to share the decision along with his fans. Within the video message, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner described the decision as his ‘Independence Day.’
Chatting with his followers on social media, the YouTuber reflected on the prolonged legal battle and its impact on his family, while emphasising the necessity for accountability for the period of scrutiny he endured.
With utmost relief and joy, Elvish said, “Today is a really completely satisfied day. My wishes for Gudi Padwa and Navratri. Today is your brother’s Independence Day. Since the Supreme Court has dismissed that snake-related case. I at all times had faith in our judiciary, within the justice system, that justice is at all times served. Whoever has done improper will likely be punished, and whoever hasn’t will likely be saved. An enormous thanks to the Supreme Court for quashing our case and setting your brother free. I can’t even express how completely satisfied I’m right away, but please understand.”
Elvish Yadav Recalls His Arrest
Elvish also reflected on his arrest, which happened almost two years ago. He recalled, “Exactly two years ago, on March 17, 2024, I used to be arrested on this false case that was filed against me. Since then, I even have kept saying that I did nothing improper. The case was registered against me in November 2023, and from that day, I’ve been saying I’m innocent. However the media kept running stories saying ‘Elvish Yadav did this, did that.’ I faced harassment for nearly two and a half years.”
Elvish also addressed the effect the case had on his family. Reflecting on the mental pressure he and his family have been through, he said, “There was a stain on my name, on my family’s name. My family went through a lot harassment. What we went through, I wouldn’t wish on anyone. But today, truth has prevailed.”
Hailing the court’s verdict, he also raised concerns about accountability for the prolonged period of scrutiny he and his family endured. He added, “The 2 and a half years of harassment that my family and I endured, my family crying on national television. What compensation is there for that? I don’t want an apology, but how is that point, that suffering, going to be accounted for? I still don’t understand.”
Concluding his video, he said, “I pray that nobody ever has to undergo such a tricky time. Our comeback has been strong because I had good people by my side, my family’s support, and faith within the judiciary that justice would prevail. I still can’t fully express what I’m feeling. Thanks to all of you who stood by me during my difficult times and believed that your brother was innocent, and today, the Supreme Court has proven it. Thanks all a lot. Please proceed to present your love and support.”
