Having previously been knocked out by Molly McCann in devastating fashion, London hasn’t been kind to Luana Carolina previously.
The Brazilian can have missed weight nevertheless it was clear that her scheduled opponent for Saturday night, Melissa Mullins, also went through lots to try to hit bantamweight.
Mullins vented her frustrations after her fight was pulled from the cardboard after she’d already fulfilled her side of the cut price by stepping on the scales at 136 kilos.
“Although I made weight, and it was most definitely a harder cut than I expected, my opponent missed weight by 8lbs officially, and although we agreed to take the fight, the commission utilized by the UFC aren’t blissful [and have] pulled the fight from the cardboard.” she wrote on Instagram.
“All my labor wasted and the chance to fight on my home turf stolen from me! To perform on the easiest platform taken in moments. Guys, make some noise please and help me get back out fighting on a card ASAP!”
