Ustaad Bhagat Singh Director Harish Shankar REACTS To Trolls As Pawan Kalyan Starrer Struggles At Box Office| Bollywood Bubble

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, Rashii Khanna, and Sreeleela, was released in theatres last week. Director Harish Shankar has stated that he welcomes constructive criticism amid the success of Dhurandhar 2. The film faced stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar The Revenge, which opened on the identical day and has been breaking box office records, making it difficult for Pawan Kalyan’s film to make a major impact on the box office.

Harish Shankar REACTS To Ustaad Bhagat Singh BO Struggle Trolls

During a fan interaction, Harish Shankar addressed the negative reviews and box office performance of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He said, “Trollers are free to say whatever they need, but I concentrate on constructive criticism. If someone says, ‘the scene wasn’t well written’ or ‘the primary half was slow,’ I take that seriously. But I don’t pay much attention to troll accounts because their identities are unknown, and so they are sometimes insecure about revealing themselves.”

He added, “If I make an announcement, I stand by it and take responsibility. When people criticize at the hours of darkness, it’s different. I’ve been trolled a lot that I’d have quit Twitter way back if I cared about it. The primary people to criticize me are my very own parents after I told them I desired to work in movies. It’s nothing latest when someone questions my ability to direct. I block or report abusive comments once they cross the road. I feel pleased with how I overcame all odds to release this film in theaters.”

About Ustaad Bhagat Singh

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is an adaptation of Atlee and Vijay’s 2016 film Theri. The movie has been in production since 2023, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman S. Despite the hype, the film has not seen much growth in collections and has yet to cross Rs 100 crore after one week, receiving mixed reviews upon release.

The film also features Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, BS Avinash, R Parthiban, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra. This marks the second collaboration between Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh, a remake of the 2010 film Dabangg.

About Dhurandhar 2

Dhurandhar The Revenge has taken the box office by storm inside days of its release. Starting with paid previews on March 18, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has been smashing records and drawing packed audiences ever since. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a sequel to Dhurandhar (2025), which was the highest-grossing Hindi film of that 12 months.

The sequel explores the rise of Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, within the Karachi underworld. It also delves into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi—tracing his journey. Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal and others.
