Security Guard Publicly Apologizes Over Chappell Roan Drama

A security guard has publicly apologized over Chappell Roan’s alleged drama with Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter Ada.

“I take full responsibility for the interactions on March twenty first. I used to be on the hotel on behalf of one other individual, and I used to be not a part of the non-public security team of Chappell Roan,” security guard Pascal Duvier wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, March 25. “The actions I took weren’t on behalf of Chappell Roan, her personal security team, her management, or every other individuals.”

Controversy swirled over the weekend when soccer star Jorginho claimed his 11-year-old stepdaughter — whom he didn’t name but was presumed to be his wife Cat Cavelli’s daughter with ex Law — had an upsetting interaction with one in all Roan’s security guards. Cavelli and her daughter Ada were seemingly staying at the identical hotel as Roan, 28, ahead of her headline slot at Lollapalooza Brazil on Saturday, March 21.

“My daughter, like all child, recognized her, got excited, and just desired to ensure it was really her,” Jorginho (real name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho) wrote via Instagram. “And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to verify it was her, smiled, and went back to take a seat together with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”

The athlete, 34, claimed that “a big security guard” allegedly approached Cavelli, 34, and Ada’s table and “began speaking in a particularly aggressive manner to each my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.”

“My daughter was extremely shaken and cried loads,” Jorginho wrote.

Duvier offered his own explanation for the alleged confrontation as a part of his public apology on Monday.

“I made a judgment call based on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the times prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location,” he wrote. “My sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the final result of the encounter is regretful.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Roan and Jorginho for comment.

Roan addressed the situation in multiple Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 22, where she denied any responsibility for the safety guard’s alleged encounter with Ada and her mother.

“I didn’t ask the safety guard to go up and discuss with this mother and child. I didn’t,” Roan insisted. “They didn’t come as much as me. They weren’t doing anything. It’s unfair for security to only assume someone doesn’t have good intentions once they don’t have any reason to consider because there’s no motion even taken.”

She went on, “I don’t hate people who find themselves fans of my music. I don’t hate children, like that’s crazy. I’m sorry to the mother and child that somebody was assuming something. … Should you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You probably did not deserve that.”

Cavelli broke her silence on Sunday, March 22, to handle Roan’s denial.

“Chappell has responded saying that it wasn’t her security and that she didn’t do it,” she explained via Instagram. “So, 100% this security guard was not a security guard of the hotel — that’s what I can say. He takes care of artists, so I don’t know if it was her personal security guard but he was together with her. That’s all I do know.”

Cavelli went on, “Did she send him to do it? Again, I don’t know. Look, I would love to hope not but at the identical time, I feel that you’ve got a responsibility when you find yourself a star to ensure, I suppose, that the individuals who work with you and act in your behalf are acting in your behalf.”
