David Pastrnak gets real on Stanley Cup probabilities after win at Sabres

The Boston Bruins were one among the worst teams within the Eastern Conference in 2024-25, but have turned things around this 12 months. The Bruins are heading in the right direction to make a playoff run, and added one other win on Wednesday night.

The Bruins took a 4-3 victory over the division-leading Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, and throughout the game, David Pastrnak talked concerning the team’s Stanley Cup probabilities.

“Just a terrific effort,” Sturm said. “Obviously, we’re very completely satisfied to grab those two points. Huge, huge points, but I liked the response even higher (after a 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday). The fellows, we weren’t completely satisfied, all of us. I might say we were tight in the primary 10 minutes (against Buffalo) but after that I believe we found our game.”

The Bruins are actually 40-24-8 on the 12 months, and are fourth within the Atlantic Division. They’re three points clear of the Recent York Islanders, who’re currently outside the playoff picture. The team returns to the ice on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild.
