Michael Chiesa has made weight for the ultimate time in his profession ahead of Saturday night.
Israel Adesanya hit the mark earlier today before headlining UFC Seattle on the Climate Pledge Arena on March 28.
For ‘Maverick’, this weekend can be stuffed with moments that he may never experience again having made the choice to put down his gloves after this weekend.
Chiesa might even see this as the proper approach to exit, but he recently admitted that there’s one moment in his profession he would return and alter if he could.

Michael Chiesa says swapping seats with Calvin Kattar cost him a late notice title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov
UFC 223 in April, 2018 stays one of the chaotic fight weeks that fans have ever experienced.
Max Holloway was pulled from his clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title after he stepped in to interchange an injured Tony Ferguson.
The promotion then went through several other options to face ‘The Eagle’ before selecting Al Iaquinta, but Michael Chiesa’s matchup with Anthony Pettis was the primary fight that the UFC turned to.
Unfortunately, Chiesa couldn’t compete after Conor McGregor threw a dolly at a bus containing various fighters, which he could have significantly avoided injuries from.
“If there’s one thing I could change, I wish that I might have given Calvin Kattar that front seat because I might have fought Khabib and that’s literally what it boiled right down to,” he told Full Send MMA. “Calvin Kattar was sitting within the front and I used to be getting on the bus looking type of rough.
“I used to be like five kilos over once I was cutting to 155 and Calvin’s like, ‘Oh, you may take my seat’ and I sat within the window and my coach sat next to me after which every part happened.”
Chiesa would go on to sue McGregor for breaking the window that led to the American receiving cuts on his face from the glass that prevented him from fighting.
The lawsuit against ‘The Notorious’ for various claims was seemingly settled in Supreme Court several years later in 2022, as reported by MMA Fighting.

Who’s Michael Chiesa fighting at UFC Seattle?
Michael Chiesa enters his retirement fight on March 28 riding a three-fight win streak.
After his original opponent, Carlston Harris, withdrew, Niko Price stepped in, which left Jon Anik puzzled as a consequence of the undeniable fact that ‘The Hybrid’ was knocked out last month.
Chiesa has been working as an analyst for the UFC since 2018 and made his full commentary debut during an episode of last 12 months’s Dana White’s Contender Series.
He can have 22 UFC bouts to his name following this weekend’s event on the Climate Pledge Arena.
