Two familiar names from the Attitude Era wish to connect with Tony Khan — and the interest appears to be mutual.
Former head author Vince Russo spoke about Khan during an appearance on “The Coach and Bro Show” alongside ex-WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman. Russo said,
“Top of my bucket list right away is I need to satisfy Tony Khan. I’d mark out having a conversation with Tony Khan. It will be surreal to me.”
Coachman echoed the sentiment, noting that they’d like Khan to look on the show and emphasizing the larger picture. He said,
“We want AEW to achieve success within the wrestling business.”
Taking to social media, Coachman prolonged an open invitation for Khan to affix them — and the AEW boss didn’t hesitate to reply. “TK” said,
“I’d love to come back on the show with you and [Russo], Coach!”
He also praised Russo’s current work with Juggalo Championship Wrestling, calling it “tremendous” and saying that he enjoys it very much.
Russo later shared Khan’s response and made it clear the sensation is mutual. He wrote,
“Tony, it might be an honor — seriously.”
With each side openly interested, the long-awaited conversation may soon change into a reality.
