Arvid Soderblom drew the beginning in net for the Blackhawks on Friday. On the opposite end, rookie Dylan Garand received the nod for the Rangers. Soderblom had the experience edge, but Garand claimed his first profession victory, stopping 27 shots in Recent York’s 6-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Chicago opened the scoring, but was unable to stop Recent York on Friday. They’ve now dropped their twelfth contest over their last 17 games. And they’re still looking for answers as to what exactly has gone mistaken.
“We’re attempting to determine [what’s going wrong] ourselves. I do not know if it’s just such a young team, immaturity and we will not put it together. Nevertheless it’s on everyone. It’s on us older guys to indicate the lead and have them follow. As a bunch, everyone, the previous few games, we’ve got not been good in any respect,” Bertuzzi said, via Chicago Sun-Times reporter Ben Pope.
The Blackhawks did make a little bit of progress this 12 months. Connor Bedard looked the a part of an MVP candidate early on, as well. Unfortunately, Bedard suffered an injury midway through the season. And Chicago eventually began dropping games.
