“Well this is just not the post or video that I desired to be making today,” Barber said in a video on Instagram. “But I wanted to return on here and say thanks to the UFC and thanks to Alexa for the chance.
“I desired to go on the market and get my opportunity to get my rematch and dominate and get the win back and unfortunately, it was not my night. I got caught and Alexa did an incredible thing. She’s an outstanding fighter.
“I don’t really remember a complete lot. All I do know is each time I am going on social media I appear like I’m dead and that’s not a really fun thing to see. So I’ve been attempting to stay off social media but I also wanted to return on here and inform you guys that I’m OK.”

Saturday’s co-main event marked the newest setback delaying her planned rise to UFC gold.
Barber previously struggled with a mystery illness that hospitalized the 27-year-old and left her out of motion for 21 months after her victory over ex-title challenger Cerminara.
Barber will now be focused on making a full recovery on the sidelines before attempting to make a swift return to winning ways contained in the cage.
