MMA legend Cris Cyborg is officially a titleholder within the ring.
The 40-year-old former UFC and Bellator champion has been showcasing her multi-sport talents toward the back end of her combat sports profession.
Cyborg, who’s the inaugural and reigning PFL featherweight queen, has been plying her trade within the boxing ring in addition to the cage since 2022.
And that journey culminated in a historic achievement on Saturday night.

Cris Cyborg becomes the primary fighter to concurrently hold MMA and boxing titles
It’s been a bumper weekend within the fight game, with the UFC staging an event in Seattle, the PFL hosting a Pittsburgh card, and the seventh Real American Freestyle show happening in Tampa.
Joe Pyfer, Arman Tsarukyan, Colby Covington, and Johnny Eblen were amongst Saturday’s big winners, but one fight that went under the radar was the return of a women’s GOAT contender.
After Cyborg’s 7-0 begin to life in boxing, the Brazilian legend challenged for a title for the primary time. At Nação Cyborg 15 in Parana, the PFL champ faced 26-33-7 opponent Paulina Cardone for the WIBA super welterweight belt.
Cyborg followed within the footsteps of stars like Holly Holm and Amanda Serrano by winning that championship, but she also did something that no other fighter has along with her eighth boxing triumph.
She is now officially the primary fighter in history to concurrently hold titles in each MMA and boxing.
“8-0 in Boxing, WIBA 154lbs World Champion, ” she wrote in response to her win on X, before continuing to call out one in every of the game’s best.
“Claressa Shields…you challenged me to a fight at 154 (before I had ANY boxing experience) I’m here. I’m willing to maneuver as much as 160lbs TO FIGHT YOU.
“I’m willing to give you 2 million dollars for the fight,” she continued. “However the fight must occur before the tip of the 12 months…you speak about the way you’re the GWOAT…in case you don’t accept that acronym stands for GOOFIEST WOMAN OF ALL TIME.”

For years the MMA legend has been going forwards and backwards with Shields, whose 18 major world championships spanning five weight classes have left her widely considered the ladies’s boxing GOAT.
With Cyborg on her retirement tour in 2026, it could seem that point is running out for the 2 to settle their grudge within the ring.
