Arman Tsarukyan believes Max Holloway is ‘done’ following his recent loss to Charles Oliveira.
Earlier this month, Max Holloway lost his BMF title in his rematch against Charles Oliveira within the UFC 326 foremost event.
The fight received a whole lot of criticism from not only the fanbase but a whole lot of stars in the game as ‘Do Bronx’ controlled the massive majority of the fight on the bottom.
But despite suffering a dominant loss to Oliveira, ‘Blessed’ Holloway may very well be set to learn from the most important fight in the game against Conor McGregor.
Tsarukyan claims Holloway is ‘done’ and favours McGregor in potential clash
‘The Notorious’ Irishman has been gearing as much as make his return to the game for some time now, and it seems greater than likely that he’ll make his comeback on International Fight Week at UFC 329.
And with that, reports suggested that Holloway is currently the frontrunner to welcome him back to the game in a highly anticipated rematch.
Nevertheless, the UFC lightweight primary contender, Arman Tsarukyan, believes the Hawaiian is ‘done’ and was extremely surprised by his recent performance.
“That’s a superb fight,” Tsarukyan said regarding the potential clash on the Ariel Helwani Show.
“Stylistically it’s a superb fight for Conor. Max is completed already, he’s just going to become profitable after which retire.
“Yeah, he’s not that Max anymore, he looked so bad in his last fight. It was crazy. I used to be so surprised, how are you going to not wrestle, zero wrestling. You’ve been on this sport 20 years and you can’t even defend a takedown from Charles Oliveira.”
It is probably going that if the previous double champion does return to the game, he’ll compete at welterweight as he’s unlikely to give you the chance to make 155lbs at this point in his profession.
That may be a big factor that might favour the Irishman over Holloway, who hasn’t fought any higher than 155lbs throughout his profession.
Despite that, ‘Blessed’ Holloway has been much more energetic than McGregor over the past five years, and he has fought eight times since McGregor last stepped foot within the UFC Octagon.
