The plan for Nate Diaz’s MMA comeback goes beyond his fight on May 16.

Diaz will probably be amongst the most important names set to compete on the primary mixed martial arts card to stream survive Netflix.

Before Ronda Rousey returns against Gina Carano and Francis Ngannou fights within the cage for the primary time since 2024, the Stockton native will battle Mike Perry at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome.

The bout will see Diaz back in MMA motion, having not fought in the game since his final UFC fight almost 4 years ago, and he doesn’t plan for it to be a one-and-done return.

Nate Diaz desires to fight Jake Paul in MMA

After Diaz submitted Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 to fight out his contract in MMA’s leading promotion, he went on to compete in two boxing matches against Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal.

While his full focus is currently on Perry, the previous WEC title challenger has unfinished business with one man he shared the ring with.

Speaking during a recent appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, Diaz revealed he hopes to secure an MMA fight with Paul by defeating ‘Platinum’ on Netflix this May.

“What do you’re thinking that I’m doing here? I’m on the hunt,” Diaz said when asked if he sees Paul fighting in MMA.

“I’m gonna take his ass clean out. I’ve gotta fight Perry, get through that fight — which is a very big task at hand — after which we get the Paul fight.

“We’ll see (if that happens in MMA). Time will tell, though,” he continued. “I believe he’ll (fight in MMA).”

Why did Nate Diaz previously turn down an MMA rematch against Jake Paul?

While Diaz has his sights set on a battle together with his former boxing opponent contained in the cage, he did have already got the possibility to satisfy ‘El Gallo’ within the MMA realm.

After losing their clash within the ring, the ex-UFC star was offered the possibility to get revenge on the Cleveland native within the PFL.

In response to Donn Davis, who left the promotion this yr, Diaz was offered hundreds of thousands to fight Paul within the SmartCage.

He publicly turned that down, insisting he had no interest fighting within the ‘minor leagues’.

Diaz also claimed he desired to face “real fighters” as an alternative of Paul, but that a part of his rejection has evidently modified.
