Bayley is thought today for her upbeat, friendly personality, but she recently revealed that wasn’t all the time the complete story. Looking back on her early days in WWE NXT, she shared a hilarious memory involving Carmella that showed a much edgier side of her.
Speaking on a recent edition of Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna’ Talk About?” podcast, Bayley recalled a running “yo mama” joke battle between her and Carmella. At first, Brandi Rhodes said,
“So, that was a phase of which Carmella and also you on the time had a running every day thing going about one another’s mothers. And it was nuts. So, much to the purpose that like, I learned a lot about each of you in that. Such as you’re the sweetest, nicest aura of a human being.”
Bayley replied with, “It’s so funny that folks keep in mind that because at first, obviously, it began with just us, like popping one another. But then it became when everybody was like, Sami Zayn was certainly one of the funniest ones. We’d just be standing there, and we’d say something, like, really like vulgar. And he’d be like, ‘Carmella … Bayley!’”
“I really like how much it threw everybody off, ? Sometimes it just became a thing where we were just attempting to like freak everybody out. It was amazing. But we still like on a regular basis, even like, since I see Graves at work on a regular basis. I’ll just rant. If we’re in the identical makeup area, like sitting across from one another, I’ll just say something so he can hear it. But she is the perfect. That’s certainly one of my funnest memories then.”
