Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, widely recognised for her role as Mrs Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, earned immense popularity and love from the show. Nonetheless, not many are aware of her stint in Naagin, the supernatural fantasy drama. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, she revealed that she was replaced within the show and that her villainous role was eventually cut from the narrative. Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal Reveals She Got Replaced In Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin
Talking about her role in Naagin and the way Ekta Kapoor replaced her later within the show, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal said, “Naagin ka maine 10 din shoot kiya, toh I used to be in one among the five major villains, joh Sudha ji aur baaki the usmein se ek major thi. Toh mera dual role tha ki ek villain bhi tha aur ek comedy bhi tha. Matlab split personality kind of thi. Actually, villain hai par sabke saamne apne aapko bahut hot samajhti hai aur comedy karti hai. Toh woh achhe se 10 din shoot hua.”
Jennifer continued,” Ab kya hai na, hum Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma mein itne saal se the toh wahan ke rules regulations alag the, yahan ka mujhe idea nahi tha. Toh maine production manager ko bola ki mera Airlift ka shoot hai, toh major 21 days nahi hoon. Toh usne bola kya? Maine kaha major 21 days nahi hoon, Airlift ka shoot hai.”
Sharing concerning the incident, she added, “Bola, ‘Have you ever told Mukta?’ Mukta was the top. Toh maine bola no, maine scheduler ko bata diya tha, kyunki humare yahan scheduler ko batate hain. Bola, ‘Jennifer, you don’t know, this can be a very big thing.’ Maine kaha okay, mujhe samajh nahi aaya kya hua. Thodi der mein Mukta ji ka phone aaya, and he or she was furious. Bolne lagi mujhe maloom hota toh major tumhe select hi nahi karti. Kaafi din tak woh chalta raha. Toh maine phir Airlift mein haath jod diye.”
Jennifer Says Mera Villain Wala Role Cut Ho Gaya
Talking concerning the sets of Airlift, she said, “Wahan ek ladka tha, bahut pyaara tha, Ravish, joh AD tha. Maine bola bhai mera role katwa de, kuch bhi kar de, meri date clash ho rahi hai Airlift aur Naagin ki. Toh usne 21 days ka 14 days karwa diya. Ek hafta katwa diya. Bola aapko Jaisalmer wale schedule mein nahi le jayenge, sirf Jodhpur wale mein rakhenge. Foremost already Bikaner mein shoot kar rahi thi. Phir maine Naagin ke scheduler ko bhi sab bata diya. Hum Mumbai aa gaye, phir Chandiwali mein shoot chalta raha.”
Continuing, she added,” Sab theek chal raha tha, phir wapas wahi, ‘aap Airlift ke shoot ke liye nahi ja sakte,’ bolne lage. Maine kaha maine mera role katwa diya, maine yeh shoot pehle sign kiya tha, Feb mein sign kiya tha, ab October chal raha hai. Naagin maine September mein sign ki thi. Par woh bole aapko batana tha. Maine kaha maine bataya tha jab sign kar rahi thi.”
Jennifer concluded, “Mujhe pehle bola gaya tha ki Airlift ka 2-4 din ka shoot hai, par suddenly 21 days ka schedule de diya. Bola tha Mumbai mein hoga, par location change ho gaya, toh adjust nahi hua. Foremost phans gayi thi. Kya karun samajh nahi aa raha tha. Finally, Ekta Kapoor replaced me in Naagin. Joh mera villain wala pura role tha, woh cut ho gaya. Joh thoda comedy part tha, woh thoda bahut rakha, but it surely was negligible, zyada dikha bhi nahi. But overall, it was a superb experience. Bahut achha tha, bahut alag mahaul tha.”
