Gable Steveson provides update regarding UFC signing

Gable Steveson has fans excited after providing a temporary update regarding his MMA future.

Ever since his MMA debut last September, fans have been touting Gable Steveson because the potential savior of the UFC heavyweight division.

The 25-year-old last competed in the game this past February when he overcame a scary head kick in the primary round to attain one other finish.

Following that, fans were hopeful that the teammate of Jon Jones could be called upon for the upcoming UFC White House event this coming June, but despite talks, it didn’t come to fruition.

Steveson claims UFC signing is coming ‘any day now’

Earlier this month, Steveson somewhat shocked the combat sports world when he signed a multi-fight cope with Real American Freestyle Wrestling to return to the game by which he won an Olympic gold medal in.

Steveson is ready to debut within the red-hot wrestling promotion on May 30 at RAF09, along with his opponent still yet to be decided.

Nevertheless, the early consensus is that the promotion will work towards putting together a highly anticipated rematch between him and Wyatt Hendrickson, who beat him within the NCAA wrestling championship in 2025.

And with Steveson growing in popularity with each outing, a call from the UFC seems just across the corner, and he recently provided an update on the prospect of that.

“I’ve got a few matches with RAF, I told everybody I’m a full time mixed martial artist and I’d love to maintain doing that, but I got excellent news, any day now,” Steveson told The Schmo.

“The (RAF) heavyweight belt would mean loads, however the UFC belt is the largest thing for me, so I’m doing RAF to indicate people who I can still wrestle and that I’m great at wrestling, to indicate people I’m among the best heavyweights of all time however the UFC title is more vital to me.

“I feel I’m ready (for the UFC), I prefer to keep it short and easy and real humble, I feel I’m ready, we’ll see.”

On the UFC White House event this coming June, Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane are scheduled to compete for the interim heavyweight title.

“There’s lots of holes in (the UFC heavyweight division) but that’s great for me to are available in and be a brand new fan dominant fighter and beat lots of heavyweights… See you all soon, it’s gonna be crazy when it comes nevertheless it’s coming any day now, any day now.”
