The president, who had been experiencing swelling in his legs, received his diagnosis that month, and the White House disclosed the report. Then, in September 2025, during a 9/11 memorial event on the Pentagon, The Each day Beast reported that observers noted his face appeared “droopy” on the best side, which sparked online rumors that he can have suffered a stroke, which was not the case.

Most recently, in April 2026, latest online rumors claimed Trump had been hospitalized, prompting a swift denial from the White House, which said he was continuing his regular schedule.

What Was Donald Trump’s 2025 Health Diagnosis?

Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, in keeping with a memo released by his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, in July 2025.

What Is Chronic Venous Insufficiency?

Dr. Barbarella wrote within the memo, “President Trump stays in excellent health.” So, it appears the president’s chronic venous insufficiency is the one glaring health condition he’s living with.

Elsewhere within the memo, Barbarella indicated, “Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or arterial disease” within the Republican and that Trump’s lab testing was all “inside normal limits.”

There have been also “no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified” after Trump underwent an echocardiogram.

Vice President JD Vance, nevertheless, spoke with USA Today in August 2025 about Trump’s well-being. The VP insisted that Trump is in “incredibly good health,” but he’s able to step into the presidency “if God forbid, a terrible tragedy happens.”
