Regardless that rain was expected to interrupt the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, fans still got plenty of laughs due to a funny mix-up between the players. Within the second over of the April 6, 2026 match, a hilarious moment happened involving Xavier Bartlett, Prabhsimran Singh, and Finn Allen.
Allen tried to play a scoop shot off Bartlett but missed the ball. Seeing him barely outside his crease, wicketkeeper Prabhsimran quickly threw the ball on the stumps to try to run him out. But as an alternative of hitting the stumps, the ball by chance hit Bartlett himself!
PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer couldn’t stop laughing on the funny mistake. Still, it didn’t affect the sport much, as Bartlett got Allen out just two balls later for six runs. He made up for the moment by taking two wickets in the identical over, dismissing each Allen and Cameron Green (4).
The match at Eden Gardens was later stopped attributable to rain, with KKR at 25/2 after 3.4 overs.

KKR Top Order Collapses Under PBKS Bowling Pressure
The Match 12 game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens was stopped due to rain. KKR won the toss and decided to bat first, however the match was interrupted once they were at 25/2 in only 3.4 overs.
PBKS bowler Xavier Bartlett made an early impact by breaking KKR’s top order in his first over. He dismissed Finn Allen (6) and Cameron Green (4) inside just three balls. Rain began pouring within the fourth over, with Ajinkya Rahane (8*) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (7*) still batting.
