Josh Hokit clashes with Jiri Prochazka in outlandish UFC 327 media day outburst

Josh Hokit and Jiri Prochazka’s bizarre personalities clashed outside media day in Florida this morning.

The heavyweight contender has sprinted up the ranks, and as an unranked fighter is facing number five-ranked Curtis Blaydes on Saturday night. Within the headliner of UFC 327, Prochazka takes on Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light-heavyweight title.

Each men are interesting individuals outside of the cage and explosive inside it. And the differences between the pair were evident today as they bumped into each other on the fighter hotel ahead of their big weekend.

There’s never a dull media day when Jiri Prochazka is involved – and evidently he got into it with the enigmatic Josh Hokit as they crossed paths in Miami. The previous NFL star is undefeated in eight fights, and already finds himself on the verge of a top five rating.

Nonetheless, it’s his antics outside of the octagon and on the microphone which have really grabbed fans’ attention. And he continued that this morning on the fighter hotel as he was heading in to make one other strange media day appearance.

Hokit appeared to launch a lengthy diatribe at Prochazka in a Mexican accent while holding a toy lightsaber. He then headed into media day where he continued to do what he admitted was a personality, switching across multiple personalities.

It seems that Hokit didn’t really answer many questions, but he did respond when asked what had happened with Prochazka. “I’m just letting everybody know the way f—ing down I’m homie,” he said continuing his Mexican impression.

“I’m the downest vato on this planet, homie. I’ll literally f—ing take you down and show everybody homie while I f—ing take it down homie. I’m f—ing down, dog, I don’t care who you might be dog. We will make an open division, homie, and we will all fight.

“Cutting weight is for cowards, homie, straight up. The down vato doesn’t f—ing cut no weight homie, straight up dog.”
