Mark Henry Sees Shiny Future For Royce Keys After WWE SmackDown Debut

Royce Keys is ready to have a vibrant future ahead of him in WWE, in keeping with Mark Henry, following the powerhouse’s TV in-ring debut this week.

Through the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Keys competed in his first WWE TV match, and the previous AEW TNT Champion earned a victory over Berto.

During a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Henry said that, while Keys needs to enhance some things, he has a vibrant future ahead. He said,

“I enjoyed the Royce Keys segments. With the match, he stayed inside himself; he stayed powerful. He made some mistakes within the sense that, in case you’re going to hit any individual with something, follow it up with something.

“Don’t get caught up in the group, wanting to wave at your folks within the front row and all of that, since you kicked him within the a**. He hasn’t had an issue with mentorship; There’s a couple of guys that I do know are in his ear that I’ve watched talk over with him. He’s going to be an excellent one, I can see it already.”

In a backstage segment after the match, Solo Sikoa offered his help to Keys, a proposal Henry believes Keys shouldn’t accept. He said,

“I don’t think that Royce Keys should focus his attention on joining a clique, I feel that he should attempt to be his own man at once. But while you’re your individual man, you rub those that want you to be muscle for them the flawed way.”

Keys made his WWE debut as a part of the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match in January, mere weeks after ending his time as a part of AEW.
