Liam Rosenior has declared himself accountable after his Chelsea side once more wilted badly after conceding a goal within the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
The Blues were heavily beaten at home by Pep Guardiola’s men on Sunday afternoon, making it three league defeats on the spin.
Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League remain alive, but they need to improve as they sit sixth, 4 points adrift of Liverpool in fifth, and only one point ahead of Brentford and Everton below them.
It isn’t the primary convincing loss for Rosenior’s side of late, having lost 3-0 at Everton and each 3-0 and 5-2 to PSG within the Champions League last month.
The west Londoners were within the match with the sport goalless at half-time but City got here out firing after the break and scored three goals in 17 minutes from Nico O’Reilly’s opener to Jeremy Doku’s third.
Rosenior accepts that his team are fragile once they go behind, taking the blame for that frailty and saying it’s something he must fix soon.
‘Not adequate within the second half,’ he told Sky Sports. ‘We didn’t start the half well, we had moments to clear the box and didn’t. We had the moment to maintain the ball and didn’t. They were camped in our half for the primary five minutes, where we concede a goal. Great cross and great header.
‘Then it’s an identical story for the past month now when it comes to coping with setbacks. Once you go a goal down against a team nearly as good as this, what you’ve gotten to do for the following five minutes is stay in the sport.
‘I’m accountable. This can be a group that something now we have to enhance at. It starts on the training pitch, your habits and values. We’ve already spoken about this stuff.
‘I can’t say there was an absence of effort, especially in the primary half. There was a insecurity within the second half, we began losing the ball more easily. We now have to enhance because for the time being, we’re in a difficult place and have one other big game next week.’
Asked in his post-match press conference about learn how to fix the difficulty and whether it’s something he can do before the tip of this season, the boss was clear that it’s an issue that have to be cured imminently.
‘I even have to, I even have to,’ he said of remedying the difficulty. ‘At once we’re still within the race for the Champions League, we still have the chance to win the FA Cup. I even have to alter it now.

While Rosenior was frustrated, Guardiola was understandably purring as his team kept their Premier League title hopes alive with the win.
They at the moment are six points behind Arsenal at the highest of the table, but with a game in hand and with the Gunners going to the Etihad next Sunday.
‘I used to be joyful. Winning away in a Premier League ground like Stamford Bridge, the fans are joyful. We’re happier,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘Second half was a thousand times significantly better. It was not bad the primary half, but some players weren’t as they were meant to be.
‘We attacked a little bit bit on the left side, but the correct side they only played to our threat. The second half was higher on each side.’
