Dan Arritt: Anaheim Geese forward Cutter Gauthier returned to the lineup after missing the past five games with an upper-body injury.

Defenseman Radko Gudas returned to the lineup after missing the past five games with a lower-body injury.

Craig Merz: The Boston Bruins sat out forwards Viktor Arvidsson, Tanner Jeannot and Pavel Zacha, and defensemen Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy.

NHL: Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri has missed their last two games, and coach Jared Bednar is hopeful he can get right into a game before the beginning of the playoffs.

“He’s going to miss some games here, after which hopefully we’ll get him in before playoffs, like playing perhaps next week.”

Ryan Boulding: Avalanche coach Jared Bednar won’t travel with the team on their two-game road trip after he suffered facial fractures and a corneal abrasion after being hit with a deflected puck on Saturday.

NHL: Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen is not going to play in any of their remaining regular-season games attributable to a lower-body injury. They’re hopeful he’ll be ready for the beginning of the playoffs.

“We’ll see how the subsequent three to 4 days go,” coach Glen Gulutzan said. “We’ve got per week here to see how he feels and see if he gets back on the ice. We’re hopeful, but we understand it’s not the regular season needless to say.”

GM Jim Nill said that forward Roope Hintz (lower-body) is doubtful to give you the option to get right into a regular-season game, and his availability for Game 1 of the playoffs is “still not definite.”

NHL: Montreal Canadiens defenseman Noah Dobson can be re-evaluated in two weeks. They announced he’ll miss the beginning of the playoffs with an upper-body injury. He blocked a shot on Saturday (along with his right hand).

Mike Morreale: The Ottawa Senators were without forwards Brady Tkachuk (illness) and Tim Stutzle, and defenseman Jake Sanderson and Thomas Chabot yesterday.

Harvey Valentine: Pittsburgh Penguins forwards Noel Acciari (upper body), Anthony Mantha (lower body), and Ben Kindel (upper body), and defensemen Ryan Shea (upper body) and Connor Clifton missed yesterday’s game and are listed as day-to-day.

Laurence Heinen: Utah Mammoth goaltender Karel Vejmelka missed yesterday’s game with an undisclosed injury.

Harvey Valentine: Washington Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sandin didn’t play yesterday after taking successful from Penguins’ forward Justin Brazeau.
