In response to CNBC, on the evening of Sunday, April 12, President Trump took to Truth Social and shared a photograph that appeared to depict him as Jesus Christ. Moreover, per the outlet, the image appears to have been created using artificial intelligence. Moreover, it appeared that Trump shared the photo after Pope Leo XIV reportedly criticized the U.S. for its “war against Iran and for military motion against Venezuela.”
He Speaks Out As Social Media Goes OFF
Moreover, on Monday, April 13, Trump deleted the photo amid it sparking backlash. Moreover, during a press conference, he spoke on why he shared the photo and denied any intention to match himself to Jesus Christ.
“I did post it. I assumed it was me as a physician, and it needed to do with the Red Cross,” Trump reportedly said. “… It was alleged to be me as a physician, making people higher. And I do make people higher. I make people lots higher.”
Per the outlet, former Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X to claim that Trump published the photo “to attack the Pope.”
“On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope since the Pope is rightly against Trump’s war in Iran after which he posted this picture of himself as if he’s replacing Jesus,” she wrote.
