MANILA, Philippines—NLEX held off Macau, 106-97, to hike its winning streak to 3 within the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo on Tuesday.
The Road Warriors tied the Bolts in second within the standings with a 5-1 record, and sent Macau to a 0-7 card.

“This game was very necessary. Macau is a great team, they’re just not winning without delay,” Cady Lalanne said after powering NLEX with a double-double of 28 points and 18 rebounds.
“It is a team that, if you happen to underestimate, they’ll find yourself beating you, so we needed to are available and be serious from the jump and that’s what we did.”
The Road Warriors hit timely threes with Robert Bolick burying a pair of triples that gave them a 100-91 cushion and Schonny Winston sinking one other one–a traditional four-point play–to seal the sport, 104-97, with only 35 ticks to go.

Winston finished with 24 points, Bolick notched 17 points and 11 assists with five rebounds, while JB Bahio added 15.
Tony Mitchell tallied 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Damian Chongqui registered 19 for the Black Knights.
