The Washington Capitals ended their season on a four-game winning streak, but it surely was not enough to secure a spot within the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Because the season has come to an end, the NHL profession of Alex Ovechkin could have come to an end as well.

Before the Capitals’ game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ovi addressed the retirement rumors, speaking together with his former teammate, TJ Oshie of ESPN.

“At any time when you do step away, what do you think that you are going to miss most?” Oshie asked his long-time teammate.

“I didn’t step away yet so, we’ll figure it out,” Ovechkin responded. “You tell me.”

While the printed on Tuesday night treated the sport as the tip of the Ovechkin era, as has social media and fans, Ovechkin has been clear that he has not made a final decision. Within the second-to-last game of the season, the Capitals faced the Pittsburgh Penguins, who lined up for a handshake line celebrating Ovi. The road was waived off, because the NHL veteran smiled.

“I don’t resolve yet. Due to them to attend on the market,” Ovechkin said after the sport on Sunday concerning the lineup.

The ESPN broadcast stayed focused on The Great 8 after the sport, with the camera continually focused on him within the locker room. They waited for him to take off the jersey one final time before the camera was faraway from the locker room.

“I don’t think anybody knows what’s happening, but obviously it’s been such an amazing honor. There are really no words to explain what he means to me and what he means to this organization,” a rather emotional Wilson said.

While it is obvious, nobody knows what Ovechkin goes to do that summer, whether it is the tip, probably the greatest to play the sport may have made his impact on the league endlessly.
