Alexander Volkanovski picks Aljamain Sterling to beat Youssef Zalal resulting from his experience

Each Youssef Zalal and Aljamain Sterling have made their cases for title shots ahead of their clash within the primary event of UFC Vegas 116.

The 2 men have trained together up to now and have similar skillsets, which made the fight very difficult to predict for Alexander Volkanovski.

After only with the ability to give either man a slight edge in numerous departments, he ultimately went with the tried and tested former bantamweight champion.

“I believe I’m going to must lean towards Aljamain simply because he’s proven himself time and time again,” Volkanovski said on his YouTube channel. “He’s still got it.”

Volkanovski believes that the experience that each men have with one another could play into this fight if one among them knows something that onlookers don’t about how those sessions went.

In what he believes is a closely matched fight, there wasn’t one area that the featherweight champion could highlight aside from Sterling’s experience as being a transparent gap between the 2 contenders.

Consequently, he predicted that we’re likely going to see a really competitive fight or one where the winner is just barely higher than the opposite from start to complete.

“Let’s see who really can use a little bit of fight IQ and let’s see who has higher skills because they’re going to want them,” Volkanovski continued. “It’s just going to come back right down to who is healthier and makes probably the most of once they’re on the feet, makes probably the most of once they’re wrestling and makes probably the most of once they’re grappling. Who is healthier in all these elements.”
