Queensberry Promotions has confirmed that their upcoming card has taken a significant hit.

Frank Warren‘s outlet will placed on an IBF heavyweight world title fight in Manchester, England, on May 9.

Fabio Wardley will defend his belt against ex-champion Daniel Dubois in an eagerly anticipated most important event, which was speculated to be backed up by one other high-stakes heavyweight clash.

Jared Anderson withdraws attributable to injury

Jared Anderson was speculated to make his Queensberry Promotions debut on the cardboard headlined by Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois.

The 18-1 American heavyweight had been booked to fight Solomon Dacres (10-1) within the co-main event of the evening.

On Saturday, rumors began circulating about Anderson withdrawing from the competition attributable to an injury.

It’s believed that the 26-year-old suffered a torn bicep while training for his upcoming fight with Dacres.

Queensberry Promotions confirmed Anderson is out of the fight in a social media statement on Sunday.

It was also revealed that a substitute co-main event will likely be announced in the following 24 hours.

“Attributable to an injury sustained in camp, Jared Anderson is out of his scheduled bout with Solomon Dacres on the Don’t Blink card in Manchester on 9th May,” Queensberry Promotions said.

“A substitute co-main fight will likely be announced tomorrow, and we look ahead to Jared making his Queensberry debut later this 12 months.”
