Carrie Underwood has shared that she and her family might be “self-sustained” on their Tennessee farm.
The country music star recently dished on how she manages to boost her grounded kids on the farm, saying she’s a completely different person at home in comparison with when she’s on stage.
Carrie Underwood previously raised eyebrows earlier this month when she said Hollywood is a “self-serving business,” while crediting her faith for keeping her focused.
Underwood could also be a celebrated music star with all of the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, but at home on her Tennessee farm is where she finds comfort and solace.
The “American Idol” judge recently opened up about her homesteading lifestyle, revealing that her family is attending to the purpose where they might be entirely “self-sustained” on their expansive property outside of Nashville.
“I believe if I needed to, I might be self-sustained at home. I really like growing things,” she told Fox News Digital. “If I had on a regular basis on the planet, I’d… not really want to go to the food market for an excessive amount of.”
“However it’s numerous fun. , I really like our chickens. We’ve cows, we’ve got sheep, we’ve got donkeys. We’ve horses. I even have my garden, and it’s an awesome technique to connect with the earth. That’s my contribution to the family,” she continued.

The “Blown Away” singer lives on her Tennessee farm together with her husband, Mike Fisher, and their two sons, Isaiah and Jacob.

Last month, in an appearance on “The View” alongside fellow Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, Underwood weighed in on how she manages to maintain her home life grounded and lift good kids, despite not at all times being around.

Earlier this month, she spoke about how Hollywood could be so demanding, calling it a “self-serving business” before happening to share that her faith keeps her anchored and authentic.

Following her return to ‘Idol’ as a judge, Underwood experienced a full-circle moment, standing on the other side of the stage where she first found fame.
