[WATCH] Bhuvneshwar Kumar Cleanly Bowls Debutant Sahil Parakh With A Stunning Delivery

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a masterclass to dismiss Delhi Capitals (DC) debutant Sahil Parakh for a two-ball duck within the IPL 2026 match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday (April 27).

Bhuvneshwar opened with an outswinger that caught Sahil’s edge, which fortunately landed safely in front of the fielder at short third man. He followed with a superb inswinging yorker that the left-hander couldn’t handle.

The ball curved in late to shatter the center stump. It was an ideal start for RCB as captain Rajat Patidar’s alternative to field first yielded easy results.

While Bhuvneshwar accounted for Tristan Stubbs (5) and Axar Patel (0), Hazlewood claimed the crucial wickets of KL Rahul (1), Nitish Rana (1), and Sameer Rizvi (0).

Who’s Sahil Parakh? Meet the India U-19 Star Making His IPL 2026 Debut for Delhi Capitals

In a surprising move, the Delhi Capitals (DC) gave young talent Sahil Parakh his first IPL 2026appearance during their vital match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday, April 27. Throughout the toss, DC skipper Axar Patel announced several changes to the lineup, while RCB remained unchanged.

With Kyle Jamieson stepping in for the injured Lungi Ngidi and Dushmantha Chameerajoining as one other overseas fast bowler, Parakh was brought in to interchange opening batter Pathum Nissanka. Parakh, an 18-year-old top-order batsman from Maharashtra, joined the DC squad for ₹30 lakh within the IPL 2026 auction.

After waiting on the sidelines, he was tasked with opening the batting after RCB captain Rajat Patidar selected to bowl first. Nonetheless, in a debut harking back to Mumbai Indians’ Danish Malewar, Parakh’s first game resulted in disappointment. He was dismissed for a two-ball duck, clean bowled by a clinical delivery from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
