The Latest on the Vancouver Canucks and their Front Office Search

The Vancouver Canucks talking to Pierre Dorion makes some sense, and a few others who interviewed face-to-face

Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman, on 32 Thoughts: The Podcast on The Second Round is Here episode, on the Vancouver Canucks GM search. Pierre Dorion is the most recent candidate to return up. Friedman names among the individuals who have been interviewed recently.

Kyle Bukauskas: “How about in Vancouver, former Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorian, now surfacing as one in all the names added to the list, who was interviewed for his or her vacant spot.”

Friedman: “I’m actually after I heard it, I actually, I actually wasn’t surprised. It actually suits the standards, because Dorian went through a number of things in Ottawa which might be pretty much like Vancouver, I feel.

Numerous ownership issues which might be much like Ottawa. Ownership challenges, ups, downs, wild swings, times where you expect to contend and don’t. Times that you may have to sort of rebuild. So I’m actually not surprised he ended up on their list.

I imagine they’ve interviewed Dorian face-to-face. I imagine they’ve interviewed Evan Gold face-to-face. I imagine they’ve interviewed Ryan Bowness face-to-face.

The Ryan Johnson thing, it’s hard to grasp exactly where that’s. I don’t think he’s out, Kyle, but because he’s there, it’s hard to say, ‘Okay, how again and again have you ever been interviewed? What are these interviews? Like, because he’s there, it’s harder to get a grasp on what sorts of interviews he’s done, but I still think he’s in it. I feel there’s more, but I don’t know yet.
