Paul Heyman has revealed that he genuinely had no concept that Brock Lesnar was going to retire at WrestleMania 42.
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Heyman pointed to his own response at ringside as proof, noting that he was visibly in tears. He said,
“If I knew he was gonna’ retire, would I even have gone on record saying he was gonna dominate for the subsequent 15 years? I used to be crying. Am I that good of an actor that I can cry on cue? Not I.”
Lesnar has since been moved to the WWE Alumni section following his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 (Night One).
Lizzy Rain has shared her excitement about teaming with Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley to face Nikkita Lyons and Zaria on WWE NXT.
During a recent interview with Soundsphere Magazine, Rain declared that winning the Women’s North American Championship is her next goal, and he or she is here to go big or go home.
You’ll be able to take a look at some highlights from the interview below:
On the upcoming tag team match: “I’m so privileged to be within the ring with them [Tatum and Zaria], after which to get that, or sort of a rematch — I understand it’s a tag match, but to be within the ring again with Nikita, two people who I said I actually desired to face, after which someone I faced just two weeks ago may be very cool. It’s like, you realize, the wrestling universe was really listening to me, which may be very surreal.”
On her championship aspirations: “You understand what it’s, the subsequent goal? the North American Championship is the subsequent goal. Why not, like, go big or go home? I’m loud; I’m unapologetic. I’m here to make an impact. So why not go for that belt?”
